Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
1. Who is responsible for ElecParts?
ElecParts is operated by Armin Salihovic as an individual operator. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].
2. Scope of this policy
This policy explains how personal information is processed when you visit ElecParts, create or use an account, work in a lab, use beta features, or contact us. ElecParts is currently a free beta. No payment is required for normal beta participation, and this policy does not state that beta users provide payment information.
3. Information processed
Account and authentication information
When you register, we process your first name, last name, email address, account credentials, and account-verification status. We also process information needed for password resets, email changes, account-security functions, and sign-in sessions.
Labs, memberships, and user content
ElecParts processes lab and membership information, including lab ownership, membership, roles, invitations, and related account information. It also processes the information you or other authorized lab users add to the Service, including components, inventory and locations, suppliers and purchasing information, projects, bills of materials, builds, notes, and attachments/uploads. Shared-lab users may be able to see content made available in that lab according to their permissions.
Files and attachments
When you upload an attachment, the Service processes the file itself and associated metadata such as its original filename, stored filename, path, size, media type, related record, and uploading user.
Technical and session information
ElecParts processes technical information needed to operate and secure the Service. The application’s session records can include a session identifier, associated user identifier, IP address, user-agent information, session payload, and last-activity information. We also process information submitted in requests and information needed to diagnose application errors or security issues.
Email and feedback
We use email to send transactional messages such as verification, password-reset, and account-email-change messages. If you submit in-app feedback or a bug report, we process its type, content, associated account, and lab context where available.
Optional Google sign-in
If Google sign-in is made available and you choose to use it, ElecParts processes the information returned for that sign-in, such as your Google provider identifier, email address, name, avatar, and authentication token information needed for the connected account. Google’s processing is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy information.
4. Why we process information
We process information to create and secure accounts; verify email addresses; provide the requested lab and inventory/project functionality; store and retrieve user content and attachments; enable shared access; respond to feedback and support requests; maintain, troubleshoot, and protect the Service; and evaluate and improve beta functionality.
5. Hosting, databases, storage, email, and backups
ElecParts uses application hosting, database, file-storage, email-delivery, and operational infrastructure to provide the Service. These systems may process the information described above where necessary to operate ElecParts.
ElecParts includes functionality for exporting lab data and uses application storage for uploads. You remain responsible for maintaining independent backups of important information. Do not rely on beta access, exports, or application storage as your only backup.
6. Analytics, advertising, and payments during beta
ElecParts does not currently use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or other third-party web analytics scripts. ElecParts does not require payment for beta participation. Billing-related functionality is not part of normal beta registration or use, and beta participation does not require payment processing.
7. When information is shared
Information is shared within a lab with users who have authorized access. It may also be processed by infrastructure used to operate the Service, by an optional sign-in provider you choose, or where required to comply with law, protect rights and security, or address misuse. ElecParts does not use personal information for advertising as part of the current beta.
8. Retention
ElecParts retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security and operational integrity, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, and respond to requests.
9. Your requests and account deletion
The current beta does not provide a self-service account-deletion or privacy-request portal. To request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information, email [email protected]. Requests will be assessed in light of the information involved, your relationship to a shared lab, and applicable legal obligations.
10. Cookies and browser storage
ElecParts uses technically necessary session, authentication, security, and appearance storage. See the Cookie Policy for the current implementation-based description.
11. International access and third-party services
ElecParts may be accessed from outside Germany. If you use a third-party service through ElecParts, such as an optional sign-in provider or a service you choose to connect, that provider processes information under its own terms and privacy practices.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the beta and its data practices change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. If future paid plans or new processing activities introduce changes to how personal information is processed, we will update this policy as appropriate before those changes take effect.
