Terms and Conditions

1. About ElecParts

ElecParts is operated by Armin Salihovic as an individual operator. These Terms govern your access to and use of the ElecParts website and application (the “Service”).

2. Free Beta

ElecParts is currently offered as a free beta. Beta users receive full access to the Service without payment during the beta. No payment is required to participate in the beta.

Beta participation does not automatically enroll you in a paid subscription. You will not be charged merely because the beta ends. After beta, ElecParts intends to offer a free plan alongside paid plans, but future prices, limits, features, plan names, and transition dates have not been finalized.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, safeguarding your credentials, and for activity carried out through your account. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. You may use the Service only if you can form a binding agreement under applicable law.

4. Labs and Shared Access

ElecParts lets users work in shared labs. Lab owners and users with the relevant permissions may invite, manage, or remove members and may give members access to lab data. Before inviting another person or uploading information to a shared lab, make sure you have the authority to share that information with those users.

5. User Data and Content

You retain responsibility for the data and content you submit to the Service, including inventory, components, projects, bills of materials, purchasing information, notes, and attachments. You grant ElecParts the limited right to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and to provide requested functionality.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit your content and to share it with the users you authorize.

6. Beta Data and Backups

Beta software and beta data may be changed, interrupted, or unavailable. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate independent backups of important information. Do not rely on ElecParts as your only copy of critical data.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not misuse the Service. This includes attempting to gain unauthorized access; interfering with security, availability, or other users; uploading malware or unlawful content; infringing another person’s rights; using the Service to violate applicable law; or using automated means in a way that harms or disrupts the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

ElecParts and its software, design, branding, and other Service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service during the beta for its intended purpose. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

9. Feedback

If you provide ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or other feedback, you allow us to use that feedback without restriction or compensation. This does not transfer ownership of your separate user content.

10. Availability and Changes

The beta is under active development. Features, interfaces, integrations, data structures, and availability may change, be limited, or be removed at any time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service, including beta access, without a promised beta end date.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service may interact with third-party services, such as sign-in providers, distributors, or services you choose to use. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. ElecParts is not responsible for third-party services or their availability.

12. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, or third parties; to address suspected misuse; or where required by law. Termination of beta access does not create a right to a paid subscription or a charge.

13. Beta Disclaimer

The Service is provided as a beta and may contain errors, defects, or incomplete functionality. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose.

14. Liability

We are liable without limitation where liability is required by law, including for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body, or health.

For slight negligence involving an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to damages that were foreseeable and typical for this type of agreement. An essential contractual obligation is an obligation whose fulfillment is necessary for the proper performance of the agreement and on whose fulfillment a user may ordinarily rely.

Any further limitation or exclusion of liability applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

15. Privacy

Our processing of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms as ElecParts develops, including when the beta ends, new functionality is introduced, paid plans become available, or legal requirements change. The current version will be made available through the Service and will display its effective or last-updated date. Where required by applicable law, or where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain consent where legally required.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Mandatory consumer protections that apply to you remain unaffected.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
